Ciigma’ s First Marathon Started in 2017
- First Marathon was organized on the occasion of World Kidney Day on 5th March 2017 in 10 Km, 5 Km and 2 Km running categories.
- More than 1200 participants were part of this event including 35 kidney transplant recipients and 40 kidney donors. A banner competition on “Organ Donation” was also organized to sensitize public about importance of organ donation.
- CMD Dr.Unmesh Takalkar , CMD Dr.Manisha Takalkar , CEO Dr.Ajay Rotte and Nuclear Medicine Physician and Ironman Dr.Prafful Jatale Flagged off the event.
2018 CIIGMA's Marathon
- United Ciigma Hospital successfully organized second edition of Marathon . The event was organized in 10 Km, 5 Km and 2 Km running categories to create awareness about the Kidney Diseases in general public. Nearly 1250 runners participated in the event which included 100 Kidney transplant recipients and 50 kidney. A banner competition on “Benefits of kidney Transplantation” was also being organized to sensitize public about importance of kidney transplantation.
- A host of dignitaries including MLA Atul Save, Divisional commissioner Dr Purushottam Bhapkar, Mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, Corporator Mrs Archana Nilkanth, Airport director Mr DG Salwe, Mrs Varsha Thakur, Mr CD Shevgan, PI Avinash Aghav, Mr Murtuza Ambawala, Mr Suresh Mate, Mr Gowardhan Kolekar, CMD Dr.Unmesh Takalkar , CMD Dr.Manisha Takalkar , CEO Dr.Ajay Rotte and Nuclear Medicine Physician and Ironman Dr.Prafful Jatale Flagged off the event.

2019 Ciigma Marathon
- Marathon organized in 2KM, 5 KM and 10 KM running categories. We had 1545 registrations this year (424 (10K), 576 (5K), 545(2K). This included 147 Kidney transplant recipients, 1 Liver and 1 Heart/Lung transplant recipient. Kidney transplant pts from various parts of Maharashtra took part in this event and had wonderful experience. Thanks to all participants….
- We got great support from Police department (Permission for event + traffic management), Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (Streetlights were kept functional on Kidneython route for safety of all runners beyond its stipulated switch off, Mobile Toilets, Sanitary vans for garbage collection etc…), MSEDCL, Print media with very positive coverage and many other government agencies.

CIIGMA's Marathon 2020
- On the occasion of World Kidney Day, CIIGMA Group of Hospital successfully organized fourth edition of Marathon . The event was organized in 10 Km, 5 Km and 2 Km running categories to create awareness about the Kidney Diseases in general public. More than 2100 runners participated in the event which included 130 Kidney transplant recipients and 80 kidney donors.
- A host of dignitaries including Mayor Mr. Nandkumarji Ghodele, Commissioner of Police Mr. Chiranjeev Prasad, Special IG Mr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, Mr Virji Safaya, CMD Dr.Unmesh Takalkar , CMD Dr.Manisha Takalkar , CEO Dr.Ajay Rotte and Nuclear Medicine Physician and Ironman Dr.Prafful Jatale Flagged off the event.
- First blood group mismatch transplant recipient Mr. Dattatraya Kholgade, Mr Kishor Suryawanshi who represented India in World Transplant Games 2019 and Dr Yogesh Bhatiwal, a practicing pathologist from Akola and kidney transplant recipient participated as event ambassadors.
Program concluded with award ceremony for winners.
